A fare-thee-well

As I understand it, I have three to twelve months left to live. And since I'm already about three months in, I'd think much less than twelve is more accurate.

I don't feel like writing anymore. Hell, I don't feel like thinking and feeling anymore.

So, this is likely my last post.

I can't say that I will miss this shitty planet with all of the shitty little parasites running around on it being shitty to each other.

I'd wish you all good luck. But that would be in vain. Mankind is its worst enemy and won't be satisfied until it does itself in.

All religion is merely fantasy. You think you'll be rewarded for killing each other? If there were a sky daddy, I couldn't imagine it rewarding people for the disgusting way you view and treat your fellow man.

Myself, I am elated that I finally have a ticket out. For the rest, it's too late. The damage you've wrought is past the tipping point. That is what saddens me.

So, fare thee whatever the fuck you get.

Retiring Senator Romney confirms Pentagon, Congress knew Trump planned violent coup days before January 6

15 September 2023

On Wednesday, 76-year-old US senator, multi-millionaire venture capitalist, and 2012 Republican nominee for president Mitt Romney announced he would not seek re-election in 2024.

Coinciding with his announcement, the Atlantic published select excerpts from a soon-to-be released biography of the senator, revealing that Romney and several of his colleagues, Pentagon officials and police agents knew that then-President Donald Trump would be leading a violent coup on January 6, 2021, yet said nothing publicly.

Romney’s statements that it was well known among members of Congress and those charged with protecting it that Trump was instigating an attack on the Capitol were made in hours of interviews, emails and journal entries shared by the senator with Atlantic reporter McKay Coppins, author of Romney: A Reckoning.

In his interviews with Coppins, the senator said that on January 2, 2021, four days before the attack on the Capitol, he received a distressing text from Senator Angus King of Maine, an independent who caucuses with the Democrats, requesting that Romney urgently call him. January 2 was the same day that Trump and top coup lawyers, including Cleta Mitchell, called Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger and demanded that he “find” the 11,780 votes Trump needed to overtake Biden.

Speaking with Romney, King relayed that an unnamed “high-ranking Pentagon official” confirmed to him that police agencies had been tracking, online, Trump paramilitaries who were planning on attacking Congress on January 6. Coppins wrote that King told Romney: “There’s talk of gun smuggling, of bombs and arson, of targeting the traitors in Congress who are responsible for this travesty,” by which King was referring to Trump’s lie that the 2020 election was stolen.

King told Romney his high-level Pentagon source had informed him that Romney’s name was circulating in right-wing circles on the internet and that he was not sure if “Romney will be safe.”

Coppins wrote that after the call with King, Romney immediately sent a text to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

“In case you have not heard this,” Romney wrote to McConnell, “I just got a call from Angus King, who said that he had spoken with a senior official at the Pentagon who reports that they are seeing very disturbing social media traffic regarding the protests planned on the 6th. There are calls to burn down your home, Mitch; to smuggle guns into DC, and to storm the Capitol. I hope that sufficient security plans are in place, but I am concerned that the instigator—the President—is the one who commands the reinforcements the DC and Capitol police might require.”

According to Romney, McConnell never replied to his text.

None of the official investigations into the January 6 coup, including the multiple hearings held by the now defunct House January 6 Select Committee, made any mention of the fact that some 96 hours before the siege, leading members of the Senate, high-ranking Pentagon officials and police agents knew that Trump and his allies in the Pentagon would be blocking the dispatch of military reinforcements to defend Congress in the face of a fascist attack.

Instead, both Democrats and Republicans have claimed that so-called “intelligence failures” led to the Capitol being overrun. In its final report, the bipartisan Select Committee sought to exonerate the Pentagon for refusing to authorize the deployment of the D.C. National Guard by ludicrously claiming “miscommunication” issues prevented D.C. troops from arriving at the Capitol for 199 minutes. The House committee was led by Democratic Rep. Bennie Thompson of Mississippi and then-Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney, the Republican daughter of Dick Cheney, vice president under George W. Bush and leading war criminal in the 2003 US invasion of Iraq.

The Democratic Party and the Biden administration have sought throughout to present the attack on the US Capitol as the work solely of Donald Trump and a narrow circle of co-conspirators—downplaying or concealing the complicity of the Republican Party, the Pentagon, the FBI and at least two Supreme Court justices (Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas). This systematic coverup is designed to protect the institutions of the capitalist state as US imperialism wages war against Russia, prepares for war with China and confronts a growing insurgency by the working class, which is being made to bear the costs of wars and bailouts of the corporate elite.

Romney’s revelations underscore the deadly seriousness of Trump’s failed coup, which the Republicans, the pseudo-left and right-wing libertarian journalists such as Glenn Greenwald have sought to downplay as simply a “riot” that got out of hand.

Trump’s coup nearly succeeded due to the deliberate stand-down of security forces and the refusal of the Democrats, desperate to protect the state apparatus from an aroused working class, to call for popular resistance.

In his interviews with Coppins, which serve as a parting shot before he exits public life, Romney admits that “A very large portion of my party really doesn’t believe in the Constitution.”

As the Republicans transform into a fascist party, the Democrats continue to do everything in their power to uphold its legitimacy. In an interview on MSNBC’s Morning Joe following Romney’s revelations, former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, who announced earlier this month she would be seeking re-election in 2024, characterized Romney’s pending retirement as “bad news.”

“He is such an example of courage in the United States Senate and the Congress,” Pelosi gushed. “The country needs a strong Republican Party. I say that all the time.”

* this, my friends, is the death knol for US imperialism, monetary hegemony in world markets, and inability to progress on solutions that should benefit all of mankind to eradicate poverty and lack of access to health care, education, and all other rights as humans that conservatism would eliminate.

The Magic of WWE - the popular bad guy phenomenon

I think I'm beginning to understand now what 45's appeal to the Idiocracy. (And, quite frankly, it's making my head hurt and stomach ache).

It's not that they don't know he's - e'hem - a scoundrel. It's that they find him amusing. He does daily what they would like to do. It's not "will he be good for the country, rather will he amuse and excite me?" And in their enthusiasm they fail to understand how the chaos will adversely affect their own interests.

Some people find him amusing, despite acknowledging his negative qualities. Rather than evaluating whether he would be good for the country, these individuals prioritize being entertained and excited by him. Truth and goodness holds no entertainment value.

This phenomenon can be observed in various contexts, where individuals may be drawn to charismatic or entertaining figures, even if they possess questionable qualities or behaviors. This can be attributed to various factors, such as the desire for escapism, the entertainment value of controversial or outrageous actions, or a sense of rebellion against traditional norms.

However, it's important to note that the appeal of such individuals can be subjective, and different people may have varying opinions on what is entertaining or admirable. Additionally, it's crucial to consider the potential consequences of supporting someone primarily for their amusement value, as their actions and decisions can have significant impacts on society and the country as a whole.

The Master Race

We can put a man on the moon with a slide ruler.

But we can't trust our roads, bridges and politicians. We can't keep a certifiable psycho from buying a weapon of war to gun down innocents nor prevent some random white nationalist from killing people for their religion, hair style, clothing, political affiliation or their skin color.

And we still have no clue what hiccups are, where they come from, nor where they go.

Some master race, superior being kind of shit going on right there, now!

A Party of Two

The two-party system in the United States is a powerful force that impacts the political landscape in many ways. It has been argued that this structure of two dominant parties inherently creates a “rigged” system that stacks the deck in favor of the two established parties. This system of two parties has been in place for many years and has been difficult to break. As a result, it has been extremely difficult for third parties to gain enough traction to gain ballot access, let alone achieve electoral success.

This system of two parties creates insurmountable hurdles for third parties to overcome to gain ballot access. In many states, third-party candidates are required to collect a significant number of signatures to qualify for the ballot. This process can be both costly and time-consuming and can be especially daunting for third parties that lack the resources of the two established parties. Furthermore, in some states, the requirements to gain ballot access are so strict that it is virtually impossible for third parties to qualify.

The two-party system also creates a situation where the two major parties are in a position to control the issues discussed and the public discourse. This control of the narrative can be detrimental to the American electorate, as it limits the range of options and ideas that are available to them and can lead to a false sense of only two choices for voters. Furthermore, the lack of competition within the two-party system can lead to issues of complacency and stagnation, as there is no incentive for the two major parties to make real changes or innovations.

One possible way of eliminating this party of two would be to fund election campaigns publicly - this would also help curb the epidemic of dark money and special interests currying favor in government while making it impossible for third parties to compete. However, the current two parties would never let this happen. It would be an existential threat to them. It would also be the first time the two parties worked together on anything in decades, possibly. (That statement may seem to catastrophize this possibility to some but it seems to have a ring of truth.)

Overall, the two-party system in the United States creates a “rigged” system that is difficult to break and has far-reaching consequences for the American electorate. The system limits the choices available to the public and can lead to a lack of innovation and progress. Third parties are almost completely excluded from the process and have virtually no chance of achieving success. The only way to truly give the American people more choices and to ensure that their voices are heard is to break the two-party system and open up the process to more voices and more competition.

The Evils of Capitalism

In today's world, capitalism is a major force in shaping our economic and social life. It is a system that promotes the free market, allowing individuals to make decisions based on their own economic interests. However, capitalism also has many negative effects, which can lead to economic and social inequality and exploitation.

The first major evil of capitalism is that it can lead to inequality. This is because capitalism allows those with more capital or wealth to gain an advantage over those with less. This creates a system in which the wealthy can become even wealthier, while the poor become even poorer. This type of inequality can lead to an economic and social divide, where those with wealth have more power and influence than those without. This can lead to social injustice, as those with less are unable to access the same resources and opportunities as those with more.

The second major evil of capitalism is that it can lead to exploitation. This is due to the fact that capitalism is based on the principle of competition, which means that businesses will try to maximize their profits by keeping wages low and cutting costs wherever possible. This can lead to the exploitation of workers, as businesses can force them to work for low wages and in dangerous and unhealthy conditions. This can also lead to environmental degradation, as businesses may prioritize profits over environmental protection.

The third major evil of capitalism is that it can lead to a lack of regulation and oversight. This is because capitalism is based on the idea of the free market, where individuals can make decisions based on their own economic interests. This means that businesses and individuals are not held to the same regulations that exist in other economic systems. This can lead to an environment where businesses can do whatever they want without any oversight or regulation, leading to potential abuses of power and exploitation.

Overall, capitalism has many evils that can lead to economic and social inequality and exploitation. It is important to be aware of these evils and to take steps to mitigate them, as they can have a negative impact on society as a whole.

Death and Dying

I don't let people get close to me though I crave company and conversation. There are two reasons that I've identified for this mindset in me.
First, I don't think I could survive the loss of another close friend or loved one. That's a pretty straightforward concern.
Second, as my health deteriorates with age (and milage) and the care that I may need in the not too distant future I can't picture myself having another person to clean me up from the mess old age will likely bring. I forfeited a family of my own, in part, because I stayed home with first my grandfather and then my mother in order to keep them out of the horrific nursing homes. So, I know what would be required of others to care for anyone.

As I get closer to the inevitable and consider I find myself dreading what I worked so hard to save the two most important people in my life from I struggle to figure out how to avoid that for myself. None of my solutions are something to talk about in polite company. But sometimes I just long to say it out loud without judgement.

I went through a bout of severe depression around 20 years ago. I called the "help line" and they sent cops and ambulance and then required follow-up counseling. I never indicated to them that I wanted self harm nor harm of another. But they just sent the storm troopers anyway. It ended up being like on probation.

I shit you not!

So, I hope, dear reader, that you might understand the predicament I find myself in now.

I guess I'll just lay here until I figure it out.

Thought for the day

Rights aren't rights if someone can take them away. They're privileges. That's all we've ever had in this country, is a bill of temporary privileges.

Just so you know...

I'm a sextagenarian Marine vet. I'm also an anarchist. Not one of those pussy, black block pricks running around creating mayhem. A real anarchist. First, do no harm (except in self defense or the defense of others). Otherwise, do as you will with a view of helping others.

But I'm not posting this to school anyone on anarchism. If you're curious, don't be lazy. First, take the test at The Political Compass. And if you're not a fucking fascist head on over to the Marxist Internet Archive and school yourself. You may be surprised. I know I was! (There was a time that I thought I was a republican! I'm glad I fixed that!)

What I am stressing in this post is that I have very little patience for stupid! I have little to no filter on a good day. But when someone engages with me with stupid, I lose any filter at all. I WILL say shit that you don't want to hear.

I don't do religious fanatics, fascists, right wingers, alt right, anti maskers, anti-vaxxers, propagators of war, advocates of misinformation or their stooges, nor any other such nonsense. It's all stupid and I don't do stupid. I am antifascist, I AM antifa.

I don't have the time nor energy to be "diplomatic" while dealing with a moron. So, if I don't block your stupid ass first, please, by all means feel free to block me. I don't gauge my self worth by my follower count. And if blocking me isn't enough, feel free to pay me a visit in person. But I promise that you won't like the outcome.

Imagine who a grumpy old jarhead is, where they may have been, and what they may have done, and you might begin to get the picture. You will be outmatched.

You have been warned.

That being said, I do enjoy the healthy exchange of ideas (that aren't stupid). So, please don't let this warning repell you. Antifascist anarchists are not the same thing as antisocial.

So, please DO engage if you feel so inclined. And thank you for your time.

Christian Military Youth Parachurch Ministry Stalks Unaccompanied Children in Base BXs

First of all, what is a parachurch ministry?

Parachurch ministries are organizations that work outside of any particular church affiliation and across denominations to evangelize. They often have a specific niche for their evangelism and proselytizing, and one of those niches for many parachurch organizations is the military.

Why the military?

Because military members move frequently from place to place all over the world. A military member who is “discipled” by a parachurch military ministry becomes, in their words, a “government-paid missionary” – a disciple who will make more disciples at their next duty station, and those disciples will make more disciples at their next duty stations, and so on, and so on. Dozens of these parachurch military ministries have been operating on our military bases for years, and some, like Campus Crusade for Christ’s military ministry and The Navigators have been around for decades.

As one Campus Crusade for Christ director at the Air Force Academy put it in a promotional video, “My vision is to reach the world through the Air Force,” and that the cadets are “government-paid missionaries when they leave here.”

Most parachurch military ministries target locations where young service members are in training – basic training, Advanced Individual Training (AIT), at the military service academies, etc. – preying on young service members when they are worn down from training and at their most vulnerable. They describe these training settings with terms like “a harvest field” and the service members in them as “ripe for the harvest.”

Another target of the parachurch military ministries is the children of service members, with the biggest culprit being Military Community Youth Ministries (MCYM) and its Club Beyond program for military teens.

While the Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF) gets many complaints about other parachurch military ministries, it’s MCYM’s Club Beyond that I want to focus on in this post.

Club Beyond, based in the Fundamentalist Christian Vatican, a.k.a. Colorado Springs, Colorado, operates on numerous military installations both in the U.S. and overseas. Is “Vision” is to: “Let every military brat believe,” and it does that by “Pursuing relational inreach and outreach ministry with every military teen.” And one of its tactics is to approach unaccompanied minors on military bases, as this email recently received by MRFF explains:
From: (name withheld)
Date: May 22, 2021 at 1:51:18 PM MDT
Subject: Seeking clarification on regulations about proselytizing on military property

Hello, I am seeking clarity on religious proselytizing on military property. Twice today, evangelical Christian groups have approached military dependents (in the first instance, underage minors) on an air base overseas, and attempted to proselytize. In the first instance, adults and teens representing a Christian youth group, Club Beyond, approached teens shopping inside the BX and offered them donuts as an attempt to entice them to listen to a pitch to join this club. Then this evening, members of the pagan open circle group sponsored by the base chapel were approached by unidentified people attempting to convert them to Christianity. My understanding is that this is legally prohibited on military property, but I can't find specific civilian statutes or UCMJ law that spells it out, as it pertains to military dependents, civilians, and contractors.

Would appreciate any guidance or specific clauses in statutes that apply to proselytizing on military property by non-military personnel.

With much thanks and appreciation for all you do,

(name withheld)
Club Beyond’s mission to reach “every military teen” obviously means they are pursuing both Christian and non-Christian teens. They split this reaching into what they term “inreach” and “outreach.” “Inreach” is going after the kids who are already Christians; “outreach” is going after the “un-churched.”

As the job description for a Club Beyond community director puts it:
“As the community director you will be responsible for and lead:

Community outreach to ‘un-churched’ teens;

"Inreach" to Christian teens”
And a current job listing for a Club Beyond area director / staff associate at West Point lists under job responsibilities:
“… assist with developing community outreach to "unchurched" teens, discipleship to Christian teens …”
So there is no question that this parachurch military youth ministry isn’t just a club for kids who are already Christian. They are actively and admittedly pursuing children who are not Christians and, as the above email to MRFF describes, approaching these children when their parents or other adults are not present. And this is being allowed by base chaplains and commanders, without whose permission a parachurch ministry cannot operate on a military base.

But Club Beyond gets even more disturbing when you look at their ministry’s method, which is called “incarnational ministry.”

So, what is incarnational ministry? I found a detailed explanation on a Christian website that answers theological questions (emphasis added):
“A working definition of incarnational ministry is ‘the immersion of one’s self into a local culture and ‘becoming Jesus’ to that culture.’ Incarnational ministry seeks to dispense with ministry “from a distance” and embrace ministry ‘up close and personal’—the love of God and the gospel of Christ are “incarnated” or embodied by the person ministering. Just as the Son of God took on human flesh and came into our world, we should adopt the culture to which we are ministering and ‘become Jesus’ within it.”
The site goes on to explain the “inherent danger” of incarnational ministry (emphasis added):
“There is an inherent danger when personal relationships are elevated to a higher level of ministerial value than preaching the gospel. True believers follow Jesus Christ, not other believers. True believers follow God-breathed Scripture, not the teachings or lives of men (2 Timothy 3:16). The gospel message is hindered when it is associated with the human messenger instead of the Person of Jesus Christ. …”
Gee, what could go wrong with practicing incarnational ministry with impressionable children. Many full-grown adults have been sucked into cult-like worship of religious leaders who used this tactic. We’re talking about kids here!

As for these incarnated people approaching unaccompanied minors in base BXs, I’d like to see what would happen if members of that base’s pagan open circle group began approaching those kids to join their group. I have a feeling that someone would put a stop to that ASAP!

Leftist teacher, political novice, is Peru’s president-elect

LIMA, Peru (AP) — A teacher in one of the poorest communities in the Andes who had never held office is now Peru’s president-elect after officials in the South American country declared him the winner of a runoff election held last month.

Leftist Pedro Castillo catapulted from unknown to president-elect with the support of the country’s poor and rural citizens, many of whom identify with the struggles the teacher has faced. Castillo was officially declared winner Monday after the country’s electoral count became the longest in 40 years as his opponents fought the results.

Castillo received 44,000 more votes than right-wing politician Keiko Fujimori in the June 6 runoff. This is the third presidential election defeat for the daughter of imprisoned former President Alberto Fujimori.

“Let’s not put the obstacles to move this country forward,” Castillo asked his opponent in his first remarks in front of hundreds of followers in Lima.

Wielding a pencil the size of a cane, symbol of his Peru Libre party, Castillo popularized the phrase “No more poor in a rich country.” The economy of Peru, the world’s second-largest copper producer, has been crushed by the coronavirus pandemic, increasing the poverty level to almost one-third of the population and eliminating the gains of a decade.

The shortfalls of Peru’s public health services have contributed to the country’s poor pandemic outcomes, leaving it with the highest global per capita death rate. Castillo has promised to use the revenues from the mining sector to improve public services, including education and health, whose inadequacies were highlighted by the pandemic.

“Those who do not have a car should have at least one bicycle,” Castillo, 51, told The Associated Press in mid-April at his adobe house in Anguía, Peru’s third poorest district.

Since surprising Peruvians and observers by advancing to the presidential runoff election, Castillo has softened his first proposals on nationalizing multinational mining and natural gas companies. Instead, his campaign has said he is considering raising taxes on profits due to high copper prices, which exceed $10,000 per ton.

Historians say he is the first peasant to become president of Peru, where until now, Indigenous people almost always have received the worst of the deficient public services even though the nation boasted of being the economic star of Latin America in the first two decades of the century.

“There are no cases of a person unrelated to the professional, military or economic elites who reaches the presidency,” Cecilia Méndez, a Peruvian historian and professor at the University of California-Santa Barbara, told a radio station.

Hundreds of Peruvians from various regions camped out for more than a month in front of the Electoral Tribunal in Lima, Peru’s capital, to await Castillo’s proclamation. Many do not belong to Castillo’s party, but they trust the professor because “he will not be like the other politicians who have not kept their promises and do not defend the poor,” said Maruja Inquilla, an environmental activist who arrived from a town near Titicaca, the mythical lake of the Incas.

Castillo’s meteoric rise from unknown to president elect has divided the Andean nation deeply.

Author Mario Vargas Llosa, a holder of a Nobel Prize for literature, has said Castillo “represents the disappearance of democracy and freedom in Peru.” Meanwhile, retired soldiers sent a letter to the commander of the armed forces asking him not to respect Castillo’s victory.

Fujimori, who ran with the support of the business elites, said Monday that she will accept Castillo’s victory, after accusing him for a month of electoral fraud without offering any evidence. The accusation delayed his appointment as president-elect as she asked electoral authorities to annul thousands of votes, many in Indigenous and poor communities in the Andes.

The United States, European Union and 14 electoral missions determined that the voting was fair. The U.S. called the election a “model of democracy” for the region.

Steven Levitsky, a political scientist at Harvard University, told a radio station that Castillo is arriving to the presidency “very weak,” and in some sense in a “very similar” position to Salvador Allende when he came to power in Chile in 1970 and to Joao Goulart, who became president of Brazil in 1962.

“He has almost the entire establishment of Lima against him,” said Levitsky, an expert on Latin American politics.

He added that if Castillo tried to change the constitution of Peru — enacted in 1993 during the tenure of Alberto Fujimori — “without building a consensus, (without) alliances with center games, it would be very dangerous because it would be a justification for a coup.”

The president-elect worked as an elementary school teacher for the last 25 years in his native San Luis de Puna, a remote village in Cajamarca, a northern region. He campaigned wearing rubber sandals and a wide-brimmed hat, like the peasants in his community, where 40% of children are chronically malnourished.

In 2017, he led the largest teacher strike in 30 years in search of better pay and, although he did not achieve substantial improvements, he sat down to talk with Cabinet ministers, legislators and bureaucrats.

Over the past two decades, Peruvians have seen that the previous political experience and university degrees of their five former presidents did not help fight corruption. All former Peruvian presidents who governed since 1985 have been ensnared in corruption allegations, some imprisoned or arrested in their mansions. One died by suicide before police could take him into custody. The South American country cycled through three presidents last November.

Castillo recalled that the first turn in his life occurred one night as a child when his teacher persuaded his father to allow him to finish his primary education at a school two hours from home. It happened while both adults chewed coca leaves, an Andean custom to reduce fatigue.

“He suffered a lot in his childhood,” his wife, teacher Lilia Paredes, told AP while doing dishes at home. The couple has two children.

He got used to long walks. He would arrive at the classroom with his peasant sandals, with a woolen saddlebag on his shoulder, a notebook and his lunch, which consisted of sweet potatoes or tamales that cooled with the hours.

Castillo said his life was marked by the work he did as a child with his eight siblings, but also by the memory of the treatment that his illiterate parents received from the owner of the land where they lived. He cried when he remembered that if the rent was not paid, the landowner kept the best crops.

“You kept looking at what you had sown, you clutched your stomach, and I will not forget that, I will not forgive it either,” he said.

They're already laying the propaganda ground work so when they need to remove a socialist government from power. ~ cuber

Reality check: Signed One Pissed Off USMC Veteran

People are throwing hissy fits because they're being asked to wear a mask and social distance. They're rioting in the street because their pub owner was arrested for violating health protocols.

On December 2nd, 2020, almost as many people died of COVID-19 as those who died on 9/11 and we entered into the longest ground war in American history over that. We lost thousands of more lives, permanently ruined the lives of thousands more who suffered TBI and loss of mind and body parts FOR YOU! We wasted trillions of dollars defending YOU!

If you can't stand a little inconvenience for a few more months in defense of your fellow Americans, you make all those lost lives and riches to have been in vain. All of the American troops who have died in the past 20 years or suffered life changing wounds have died and suffered in vain.

So carry your cross around your neck and wrap yourself in the flag. Your faux patriotism means nothing to me and you are not worth fighting for nor defending.

You just can't fix stupid.

Scapegoats for their own misdeeds

We've been seeing this crop up in right wing circles for a spell. Obviously it's being shared in a piss poor attempt to to align the Nazis with the modern day abolitionist movements.

SO LET'S FACT CHECK.

Prior to the 1930's Germany, the police forces were very decentralised and municipal in nature. The nazis in their rise to power instituted reforms to create a police state. The first of these was The Enabling Act 1933 which pretty much gave political power across a very diverse Germany, to the singular state authority. Part of this process was the creation of a unified central command for the police.

They were then placed under the control of the SS, who in turn placed members of the Gestapo and security services within the ranks of the local police forces. Subsequently the focus changed and they began to treat crime as a matter of race.

All police forces act on the mandate of the state.

Sniveling wimps

I was shooting 500 meter bulls, 10 for 10, every time before most of these sniveling bitches were even born. And I have my SRB to prove it.

The fact remains that the majority of these fat rednecks will only serve as bullet stoppers. The remaining few will either run or die in their bunkers.

I've had it with fascists. Let's see who's dick is longer. Produce your records or shut the fuck up.

Ode to 9/11

Not a single fighter jet ever left the ground on 9/11. Fighters from NAS Norfolk could possibly have intercepted the second plane at WTC (not that there's not any closer) and DEFINITELY could have easily intercepted the (alleged) plane that hit the Pentagon.

I was stationed all over VA. Hell, there are fighters at Quantico! Thirty minutes by car. And yet no fighters were ever scrambled. In fact, all air space was grounded across the US. Someone explain that shit to this old pissed off Marine.

Criminal Intent

I've been limiting my exposure to news for the past several weeks for reasons I won't go into here, now.

Events of the past few days has penetrated my self-imposed news diet. I'd rather be sharing my own words but I find myself with a lack of them.

However, the whole article which I quote below is well worth a read.

He knew, and because he knew, my mind is reeling with questions. How many times has he put his own supporters in danger, as they gathered by the thousands without protection, while knowing he was putting them in danger? How many times has he golfed while knowing the pandemic was killing so many people city officials had to dig mass graves? How many times has he ridiculed people for wearing masks, thereby insulting the memory of the dead, while knowing the virus was airborne. How many times has he attacked public officials, whose job is serving the public’s interest, while knowing their service prevented the death toll from being even bigger? Most important of all, how many Republicans understood that a man who commits treason is the kind of man who stands by while Americans die in droves—if that’s what it takes to win?

US War Crimes at Hiroshima and Nagasaki

As I stood alone at the "Peace Park" museum silently weeping in front a photo of the shadow of a child burned into one of the few pieces of walls left standing in a decimated city, tears streaming down my cheeks at the horror of history I was witnessing, an aged Japanese woman came up beside me and patted me gently on the back saying "Daijōbu, Daijōbu" - It's alright, it's alright.

My high and tight gave away the fact I was a Marine, the branch of the military that operated in the Pacific Theater. This elder who most certainly had family or friends who died there that day had pity ON ME! I still weep silently when I remember this experience, as I am weeping now.

The Japanese people learned something from that horrible tragedy that Americans still haven't learned. It is that all life is precious and no one is beyond redemption. It is a lesson I try to remember every day and a value worth striving toward.

The anniversary of these tragedies weighs heavily in my heart every year. A victim consoling a representative of the perpetrator.  Can you imagine the love and compassion in a being like that?

ANY weapon that kills indiscriminately is a criminal tool. Any person or nation who uses them or condones their use is criminal.

That's my story. Now here is a link to the article:

The Trump campaign's latest contest is a scam. Here's proof.  - Popular Information

On June 24, Governor Andrew Cuomo issued Executive Order 205, which requires people traveling to New York State from states with a high positive test rate to quarantine for 14 days upon arrival.

All travelers entering New York from a state with a positive test rate higher than 10 per 100,000 residents, or higher than a 10% test positivity rate, over a seven day rolling average, will be required to quarantine for a period of 14 days consistent with Department of Health regulations for quarantine.

Those who violate the order can be fined up to $10,000. Guidance from the New York Department of Health says, to comply with the order, an "individual must not be in public or otherwise leave the quarters that they have identified as suitable for their quarantine."

The executive order currently requires travelers from the following states to quarantine upon arrival: Alaska, Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, Montana, North Carolina, North Dakota, Nebraska, New Mexico, Nevada, Ohio, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin.

Yet, according to Facebook data, the Trump campaign marketed the contest extensively to residents of those states. In one heavily promoted version of the ad, 73% of the impressions were targeted at users in states subject to New York's quarantine order.

There is no legal way for Trump supporters in any of those states to attend the event.
